The 18th annual Taste of the Arts Festival, a free arts and culture festival presented by Arts United and 3Rivers Federal Credit Union, celebrates Northeast Indiana’s creativity on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Arts Campus Fort Wayne at the 300 block of East Main Street downtown. 

The 2026 festival comprises a variety of arts and culture programming for all ages from 11 am to 5 pm.  

Performances 

Enjoy more than 60 live performances of music, theatre, and dance across 10 stages, both outdoors and indoors at the Arts United Center and Parkview Physicians Group ArtsLab. 

Food and Drinks 

Patrons can enjoy food and drinks during the festival local food and beverage vendors. Arts United will be offering bar services on the Main Street Plaza and inside the Arts United Center.

Kids Activities

NIPSCO STEAM Park features kid-friendly, hands-on activities based in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) by nonprofit organizations in Freimann Square. 

  

HeART of the City Market 

HeART of the City at Taste is a curated art market coordinated by Fort Wayne HeART of the City featuring handmade wares and visual art by more than 30 creatives from Indiana. 

  

Fort Wayne Plein Air Competition and Sale 

The Northern Indiana Plein Air Artists Association presents Paint it Fresh: The Fort Wayne Plein Air Competition and Sale at Taste of the Arts 2026. Artists take their canvas around Fort Wayne, and the event culminates in an art sale and awards ceremony for participating in the festival. 

Other Arts and Culture Experiences

The History Center will have free admission during the festival, and Fort Wayne Museum of Art will offer half price admission.

Additionally, the Myaamia Heritage Foundation will be presenting the Myaamia Cultural Fest in the parking lot on Berry and Barr Street between Taste of the Arts and the YLNI Farmers Market from 10 am to 4 pm.
