Summit City Cinephiles strives to become the nexus between the current Fort Wayne Film-making community and those striving to become a part of that community. By facilitating these connections, SCC hopes to be the spark that ignites Fort Wayne’s passion for film-making as an art form, bridging the gap between the screenwriters, directors, actors, and visual artists of the greater Fort Wayne area.
With your support, we will help THREE local aspiring filmmakers see their dreams become reality in 6 short months! We plan to level the playing field by reaching out and finding those who may have the desire, passion, and talent for screen-writing, but may be held back by socioeconomic factors, or simply no outlet or open-minded mentors to guide them; giving them an opportunity to showcase their skills, and access to local Industry professionals that they otherwise may not be able to afford.
Our Grand Prize winner will receive a FULL production experience, with professional assistance from auditions through final edits. 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive small cash stipends and professional mentorship to self- produce their scripts, culminating in a mini-film festival featuring all three Summer of 2022!
