The Platform for Cultural Advancement
In 2015, Arts United launched a cultural planning initiative to align the creative sector with broad community goals. The Cultural Advancement Committee, comprised of 30 community leaders and chaired by Chuck Surack, president and founder of Sweetwater, developed The Platform for Cultural Advancement, aligning and connecting arts, culture, and quality of life in Greater Fort Wayne.
The committee established a cultural vision for Northeast Indiana. The Arts United Board of Directors adopted the community vision that Northeast Indiana will “claim its place as a national destination by driving forward its creative sector with a regionally collaborative, dynamic, inclusive and innovative spirit.”
