She is fascinated by the design process from design conception to building completion and believes true beauty is found in a rigorous design process, attention to detail and superior functionality at completion. Katherine’s recent work includes Stull Hall in Bibbins Hall at Oberlin Conservatory of Music which won a 2013 AIA Cleveland Honor Award for design, the Cleveland Indians Model Suite and the master plan for the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Katherine was also part of the design team for two National competitions: the Kent State School of Architecture competition and the New York City AIDS Memorial competition, for which their submission, “The Village Red,” was named runner up. Katherine has experience using BIM software for construction documentation, 3d modeling software, and graphic design software [Adobe Suite].
