Nonprofit Arts Internship Initiative

Arts organizations need high-quality employees with knowledge and training to succeed. College students need opportunities to combine classroom knowledge with real world experience. The Nonprofit Arts Internship Initiative (NAII) provides the resources needed to help students launch their careers with an internship in the arts.

Over the years, Arts United has placed over 60 interns at Northeast Indiana arts organizations. Student interns are engaged in a variety of projects, including arts administration, marketing, fundraising, web development, and much more. Armed with valuable career experience, many NAII graduates continue on to full-time or contracted work with area arts nonprofits.

The NAII program is made possible by a generous grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation.

Grant guidelines for the 2016 grant cycle (August 1, 2015 – May 31, 2016) can be downloaded here.
