Arts United announces awards for the Nonprofit Arts Internship Initiative

Area arts organizations will offer 16 paid internships to local college students in FY2013.


Fort Wayne, September 10, 2012:  Arts United will award sixteen grants to support paid internships at area arts organizations in FY2013.  The Nonprofit Arts Internship Initiative is made possible by a generous grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation

 “The Nonprofit Arts Internship Initiative provides the resources needed to cultivate and retain talent in northeast Indiana’s arts organizations,” said Arts United executive director Jim Sparrow.  “Arts organizations need high-quality employees with knowledge and training to succeed.  College students need opportunities to combine classroom knowledge with real world experience.  We seek to meet both of these needs.”
